Ste. Genevieve has something for everyone.
Less than 15 minutes away from Honey Hideaways is the beautiful, historic Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Here you'll find delicous food, historical sites, local shopping and much more.
Ste. Genevieve was founded in the mid-18th century by French Canadian colonists led by French explorer Jean-Baptiste Truteau. It was named after Saint Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris. The settlement thrived as an important center of the fur trade and agriculture, attracting French settlers and later German immigrants.
Ste. Genevieve is also known for its annual events and festivals, such as the Jour de Fete celebration, which showcases the town's French heritage with music, crafts, and food. The city's proximity to the Mississippi River provides opportunities for outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, and birdwatching.
